Miscalculations Dogged Romney From the Start

One of the most obnoxious things about or society is the urge create a long lists of mistakes, or failures when most people understand that fairly basic explanations exist to explain why something happened.

Why aren’t I in the NBA:
I’m not even remotely close to being a good enough basketball player to play in the NBA.

Why did Mitt Romney fail to “overcome doubts about Mr. Romney’s authenticity”:
Because isn’t remotely close to being an authentic person.

This couldn’t be more obvious. The only miscalculation Mitt Romney made was thinking he was could win the nomination with anything short of the entire field of GOP candidates imploding.

Which almost happened and he still came up short. All this talk about how he should have talked more about running businesses or Massachusetts is utter nonsense. He wasn’t trying to win over the Washington press core, he was trying to win Republican primary voters and given that he was part of religion many in the GOP base think negatively about, from a liberal state, and previously used to be a pro-choice moderate I think he did a pretty job.
