Blogging Philosophy

Another thing the morning sessions a Netroots Nation made me think about what people think blogs should be. Pretty clearly the philosophy of the state level bloggers I was talking to this morning view blogs as:
1) A place to do some heavy political lifting, such funneling money to progressive candidates.
2) A mixed medium media outlet, which does serious reporting and research.
3) A place that can exert pressure of misbehaving Democrats

I instinctively gravitate towards trying to make this blog entertaining. Sure I want to be informative and typically persuasive, but basically I’m just trying to create an amusing sight people feel like they can make part of wasting their workday doing when their avoiding work.

UPDATE
Maybe you don’t think Feist on Sesame Street is entertaining, but you’re wrong. Deal with it.
